Lu Zhangong, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, led a survey team to inspect the work of special CPPCC committees in Southwest China's Sichuan province from April 24 to 25. 

The aim of the survey was to pool wisdom on how to improve special CPPCC committees and enhance the CPPCC National Committee's guidelines on the work of these committees. 

During their trip, the survey team held a symposium with the CPPCC Sichuan Provincial Committee as well as the CPPCC Chengdu and Deyang municipal committees. 

The team fully affirmed the positive results Sichuan has achieved in studying and implementing the spirit of the Central Conference on CPPCC Work and stressed that special CPPCC committees play an important role in promoting the modernization of China's system and governance capacity. 

They called on special CPPCC committees to stick to their roles and functions and constantly improve CPPCC members' work performance.
