Xia Baolong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the Chinese chairman of the China-Russia Friendship Committee for Peace and Development (CRFCPD), spoke with Boris Titov, the CRFCPD's chairman on the Russian side, via video link on Nov 12.

At the meeting, they recognized the efforts made by the committee this year, particularly its achievements in anti-epidemic cooperation, and made plans for next year's work.

They agreed that more joint efforts would be made to give full play to the committee's role as the main channel of non-governmental exchanges between China and Russia, and to make new contributions to promoting the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination in the new era and to deepening the traditional friendship between the two peoples.
