The survey team, made up of members of the Education, Science, Health and Sports Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, gave credit to what the two regions have done in helping university graduates secure jobs or start their own businesses.
They pointed out that with China at a critical phase of epidemic control the Chinese government has made guaranteeing employment of university graduates a top priority and several departments have hammered out a number of policies on the issue. They urged universities to effectively carry out these policies so as to boost graduates' confidence and resolution.
They also called for emergency measures to ensure sustainability of these policies, combination of overall coordination and targeted steps to stabilize the employment situation, and adherence to a market-oriented approach.
