CPPCC delegation concludes visit to Slovenia, Ireland

DUBLIN -- A delegation of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Tuesday wrapped up its visit to Slovenia and Ireland.

During its visit from Sept 11 to 17, the delegation, headed by Yang Chuantang, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, held separate meetings with officials from the two countries.

During the meetings, Yang briefed the officials of two countries on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the economic and social achievements in the seven decades since the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC), the multi-party cooperation and the political consultation system under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Yang also exchanged views with officials from the two countries on cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

During the meetings, officials from Slovenia and Ireland spoke highly of relations with China, expressed willingness to take part in building the Belt and Road and deepen cooperation with China in various fields.
