Wang Yang meets Vietnamese top legislator

BEIJING -- Wang Yang met with visiting Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan here Friday.

Wang, chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, said the Chinese side is willing to work with the Vietnamese side to inherit and carry forward traditional friendship, consolidate and expand mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthen friendship between the two peoples, and promote the healthy and stable development of bilateral ties.

He said the CPPCC values friendly cooperation with the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and stands ready to strengthen exchanges of experiences in political participation, so as to make greater contributions to the stability and development of respective countries.

Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said the Vietnamese side highly cherishes and attaches importance to maintaining the traditional friendship forged by the older generations of leaders of both countries.

She said the Vietnamese side is willing to work with the Chinese side to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning at various levels and deepen friendly cooperation in various fields, so as to better benefit the two countries and two peoples.
