Xia Baolong, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee, met African ambassadors to China, other high-ranking diplomats and representatives of the African Union who are stationed in China, in Beijing on Nov 27. 

Xia said the traditional Sino-African friendship has a long history and the relationship has continued to be cemented and developed in recent years. 

Wang Yang, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, visited three African countries in June and the visits yielded positive results. 

Xia said the CPPCC national committee will support, promote and uphold friendly cooperation between China and Africa. 

The African envoys expressed admiration for China's development achievements and said they hope to enhance communication and cooperation with the CPPCC national committee and help the Sino-African relationship to reach a new level.
